The Honourable Premier, Mr. Wayne Panton Tours Beacon Farms
Mar 17, 2022
We were so excited and pleased to be visited by our Premier, the Honorable Wayne Panton! He arrived with his Chief of Strategy, Pilar Bush and their Press Secretary, Tammie Chisolm.

The small group was escorted around Beacon Farms as they were given an overview of what we have accomplished and our vision for the future of our Charity.

Mr. Panton was able to see where we process our produce into various products, the advancement we have made in our field development, our composting facility, tobacco drying barn, plant nursery, and our smaller research gardens which will hold future experimental crops.
Of much interest was the discussion of food security and mechanized field preparation. Beacon Farms is exploring these areas with the addition of our Valentini Rock Tiller and now, equipment that will mechanize bed formation, irrigation & ground cover installation, and seed/seedling planting.

Mr. Panton and Ms. Bush came away from our short tour with a good introduction to what we are doing at Beacon Farms as well as small goodie bags with Beacon Farms products as a token of our appreciation!
