Currently our farm is irrigated with well water supplemented with city water.  Unfortunately, our well water has tested high in chlorine, which is detrimental to the quality of our tobacco leaves. And, using city water exclusively would be a big cost to the farm.

     

One solution we have developed to address this problem is the installation of a Reverse Osmosis filter system that can filter our well water so that the chlorine content is at an acceptable level.  

 

Our current R.O. system and storage capacity is restricting the amount of tobacco we can grow so we are in the planning stages of expanding our system.
