Morbark Wood Hog Arrives
COMPOST FACILITY
Beacon Farms has constructed an onsite, a state-of-the-art static aeration composting facility featuring a 6000 lb. capacity compost mixer and 5 static aeration pads.

How does all this work? Well… the aeration pads force air into the decomposing compost piles, accelerating the composting process thus producing temperatures reaching 160 F, killing weed seeds and harmful pathogens.
The compost produced at the farm will be used initially to amend the soil in our fields. At a future date it will be available for sale to any farmers, developers, landscapers and homeowners who would like to purchase this nutrient-rich material for use in their own fields and gardens.
Expansion of the facility is already underway with the addition of an extension of the roof and the concrete pad for additional storage space for our materials.
