Antoinette Gayle

Assistant Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry - U.C.C.I.

Antoinette Gayle is an Assistant Professor in Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI). She is involved in research projects in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, including a current project on novel uses for Sargassum in Grand Cayman. She has worked in industry as a chemical process and lab consultant to various entities in Grand Cayman and Jamaica.

 

Mrs. Gayle believes in the value of quality education and encourages her students to be good problem solvers and critical thinkers. She holds an MPhil in Chemistry from the University of the West Indies and a certificate in teaching from John’s Hopkins University. Antoinette enjoys running, reading and sign language. She sometimes volunteers her time to teach sign language at some after school sites.
